Website Terms & Conditions

V1 – January 2026

Welcome
Thanks for visiting the HADIA Foundation website. We’re a registered Australian charity (ABN 60 610 944 155), and these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) explain how you can use our site and services. By using our website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, we’re here to help—please reach out using the contact details at the end.

1) Using our website (be kind, be lawful)

You’re welcome to browse, donate, learn, and share links to our work for non‑commercial purposes. Please don’t:

          • break the law or violate anyone’s rights;
          • upload or transmit malware or harmful code; or
          • try to interfere with the website’s security or other people’s use.

We may suspend or restrict access if we think our site is being misused.

2) Our content (how you can use it)

Unless we say otherwise, everything on this site—text, images, logos, videos, and designs—belongs to HADIA Foundation or our licensors. You can view and share our content for personal, non‑commercial use with proper credit. Please don’t copy, modify, sell, or republish our content without written permission.

3) Donations, payments & receipts

          • Processing: Online donations are handled securely via trusted third‑party payment providers. By donating, you confirm you’re authorised to use the selected payment method.
          • Receipts: You’ll receive an email receipt. Need a replacement or a correction? Just contact us.
          • Tax deductibility (Australia): Where applicable, donations of $2 or more may be tax‑deductible in Australia. (If you’re outside Australia, please seek local tax advice.)
          • Refunds: As a general rule, donations are non‑refundable. If an error occurs (e.g., duplicate transaction or wrong amount), contact us within 30 days and we’ll review it promptly.
          • Recurring donations: You can change or cancel a recurring gift before the next charge—contact us or use any self‑service options provided by the payment platform.

4) Fundraising, campaigns & events

Sometimes we run appeals or events with their own specific conditions (e.g., ticketing or merchandise). If a campaign becomes oversubscribed—or circumstances change on the ground—we may re‑allocate funds to similar activities with the greatest need, always consistent with our charitable purpose.

5) Safeguarding & ethical standards (our commitment)

We’re committed to acting with respect, care, and integrity in all our work—both in Australia and overseas. We aim to create safe environments for the people and communities we serve, our staff, volunteers, and partners. If you ever have concerns about conduct connected to HADIA Foundation, please contact us in confidence so we can listen and respond appropriately.

6) Privacy & cookies

We respect your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The site may use cookies or similar technologies to improve your experience; you can manage this via your browser settings.

7) Third‑party links & tools

We sometimes link to other websites or use third‑party tools (for payments, video, maps, etc.). We don’t control those sites or services and aren’t responsible for their content or policies. Please review their terms and privacy notices.

8) Information on this site (no professional advice)

We work hard to keep our information accurate and current, but the website is provided “as is” and may not always be complete, up to date, or error‑free. Nothing on the site is professional advice; please seek independent advice where needed.

9) Our responsibility to you (limitation of liability)

To the fullest extent allowed by Australian law, HADIA Foundation is not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost profits) arising from your use of—or inability to use—our website, content, or third‑party services we link to.

10) Your responsibility to us (indemnity)

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HADIA Foundation, our directors, staff, and volunteers from claims, losses, or costs arising from your use of the site or breach of these Terms.

11) Accessibility

We want our site to be accessible to everyone. If you experience barriers or need content in a different format, please contact us—we’ll do our best to help.

12) Changes to the site or these Terms

We may update content, features, or these Terms from time to time. The updated version applies from the date it’s posted. If you continue using the site after changes, you’re agreeing to the updated Terms.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes must be first tried to be resolved through mediation or other non-costly manner, if not resolved then brought in the courts of New South Wales (NSW).
